STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Following a 22-point week,
Ally Kennedy (North Babylon, N.Y.) has been named the IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week. The junior also earned weekly honors from the America East and was designated as the Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Kennedy and the Seawolves had an impressive week, winning three games in a span of six days with two coming against ranked opponents. The midfielder notched a total of 16 goals, six assists, 20 draw controls, six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Against conference rival UAlbany, Kennedy scored a career-high seven goals and added in three assists for a career's best 10 points. She also tied her personal standard in draw controls with 11.
Stony Brook is back in action this Friday, hosting Binghamton at LaValle Stadium at 6 p.m. for Senior Day.
