GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former Stony Brook baseball shortstop
Nick Grande (Smithtown, N.Y.) is a Northeast All-Region First Team member to add to his list of accolades, the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The America East Player of the Year and Brooks Wallace Award Finalist is one of four New Yorkers on the first team and one of nine overall on the two teams. He finished the 2019 season with a .332 batting average in 54 starts, scoring 58 runs for the Seawolves from the leadoff spot.
It is the second time he has been named Northeast All-Region after a second-team honor a season ago. The Arizona Diamondbacks draft pick was also named a third team Collegiate Baseball All-American after leading the Seawolves to their sixth NCAA Tournament Appearance.
