Daniel Zamora Called Back Up to Mets

Zamora, above, was called back up to the Mets ahead of their series finale with the Red Sox on Thursday. He has made 33 career appearances with the squad in two seasons.
NEW YORK — Daniel Zamora is back in the big leagues.
 
The 2015 draft pick and Seawolves alum was brought up from the team's alternate training site after the team designated Hunter Strickland for assignment.
 
The 40th-round draft pick in the 2015 draft has a career 4.08 ERA in 33 appearances for the Mets in his two combined seasons with the club.
 
He made 27 starts for the Seawolves in his two years as a pitcher, earning a 7-3 record with a 3.00 ERA en route to the 2015 America East Championship.
 
The Mets wrap up their four-game set with Boston tonight at Citi Field before heading to Atlanta for three games with the Braves.
