Swim & Dive Earns Four First-Place Finishes at St. Francis Brooklyn

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Stony Brook swimming and diving team picked up wins in four events in a dual meet against St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday at the SFC Aquatic Center. Despite a strong effort by Stony Brook, the Seawolves fell to the Terriers, 130-113.
 
Senior Maddy Enda secured Stony Brook's first win of the day with a final time of 59.17 in the 100 butterfly. Junior Mary Kate Conway kept the momentum rolling for the Seawolves as she touched the wall in 53.89 to earn a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle.
 
Junior diver Sara DiStefano took home a first-place finish in the 3-meter diving with a final mark of 223.55.
 
The Stony Brook 200 freestyle relay squad ended the meet with a bang securing a first-place finish with a final time of 1:39.84.

We will learn and prepare for our next travel meet next weekend to keep things moving in the right direction! The Stony Brook swimming and diving team returns to the pool on Saturday, November 19 at 11 a.m. when it hits the road to compete against Siena in Loudonville, N.Y.
