STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- After falling behind 1-0 in the fifth minute, the Seawolves stormed back by scoring three unanswered goals over the next 50 minutes to take a 3-2 victory at LaValle Stadium this evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Going back and forth early, FDU got to the Seawolves first by tallying the opening goal in the fifth minute. However, Stony Brook responded right back by recording five shots over the next 10 minutes, including the first goal of the evening for the squad by Gabrielle Côté in the 15th minute. Luciana Setteducate tallied her second assist of the season.
The Seawolves defense would hold strong into the break by allowing just two shots on goal over the final 15 minutes of the half with Nicolette Pasquarella making the saves.
After the break, Stony Brook took a 2-1 lead on Gabby Daniels' 48th-minute goal, her first of the season. Linn Beck and Sammy Hannwacker assisted the goal, giving the Seawolves the advantage.
Just nearly four minutes later, Stony Brook came right back on the attack. This time, it was Setteducate doing the damage by notching her first goal of the season following the pass from Hannwacker.
FDU narrowed the gap on Stony Brook to make it a 3-2 game on Dominique Liberto's goal in the 87th minute, but Stony Brook held on to move to 2-0-1 on the year.

QUOTES FROM THE SEAWOLVES
"It was a good performance by the whole team," head coach Tobias Bischof said. "We had three different goal scorers and had three assists by defenders. We had the chance to give a couple other players a good amount of playing time today and that is important for us going forward. Congrats to the team for winning versus a good opponent."
