Guzman And Goslar Record Top-20 Finishes At 2025 Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Stony Brook women's cross country team competed at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Friday. Competing in the women's Brown 6K event, for the third consecutive meet, Amelie Guzman was Stony Brook's top runner, securing a seventh-place finish.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Guzman raced to a seventh-place finish, setting a new PR in the 6K with a strong time of 21:13.4.
  • Shaylen Goslar finished in 16th, producing a solid run to finish with a new PR time of 21:27.1.
  • Sarah Williams recorded a 129th-place finish (22:59.0).
  • Alejandra Garcia set a new PR in the 6K with a time of 23:17.6, finishing in 160th.
  • Logan Barsalow placed 181st in the event (23:31.0).

"Without a couple of our top ladies, this was going to be a tough challenge," said head coach Andy Ronan. "Amelie and Shaylen did very well, and our younger group got experience that we hope will help prepare them for the rest of the season."

UP NEXT
The Seawolves are back in action in two weeks, competing at both the IC4A/ECAC Championships and the Princeton Fall Classic on Friday, October 17.
