RICHMOND, Va. — Freshman Alex Brown was named the CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week, representing the first weekly honor of her career and the first for the Seawolves this season.

Brown averaged 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Stony Brook. The Seawolves freshman was a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor during the week. The Manassas, Virginia native registered season-highs in points (8) and rebounds (4), adding a block and two steals in a victory over A-10 foe Duquesne on Sunday.

Stony Brook wraps up a three-game homestand, as well as non-conference play, on Wednesday, December 17, against Georgian Court. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:00 am from Stony Brook Arena and will air live on SNY and stream on FloCollege.
