Guzman and Goslar Record Top-10 Finishes, Seawolves Place Fifth at Stony Brook Season Opener

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Stony Brook women's cross country opened the 2025 season on Saturday morning, competing at the Stony Brook season opener. The Seawolves placed fifth, finishing with 92 points.

As a team, the Seawolves recorded two top-10 placements with Amelie Guzman in fifth and Shaylen Goslar in seventh.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Guzman raced to a fifth-place finish, setting a new personal best in the 4k race (14:29.60).
  • A strong run from Goslar helped her place seventh (14:38.30).
  • Alejandra Garcia finished 27th (15:30.60).
  • Mia Sandolo crossed the finish line in 15:44.40, good for 32nd place.
  • Sarah Williams placed 33rd (15:44.50).
  • Abigail Oak recorded a 34th-place finish (15:46.30).

UP NEXT

The Seawolves are back in action in three weeks when the team travels to Connecticut for the Ted Own Invitational on September 20.
