RICHMOND, Va. - Stony Brook goalkeeper Heidar Hermannsson was named the CAA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Hermannsson's first career shutout lifted the Seawolves over Northeastern 2-0. The first-year shot stopper posted four saves to earn the road win and has his first clean sheet in five appearances for Stony Brook. 

Stony Brook returns to action on Tuesday, September 30 in Kingston, Rhode Island as the Seawolves take on Rhode Island in a nonconference match, streaming live on ESPN+.
