STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's basketball head coach
Joy McCorvey announced the program's non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season. The 13-game non-conference schedule features five home contests at Stony Brook Arena, a Thanksgiving tournament in Atlanta, and matchups against opponents from the ACC, Big Ten, Big East, and Ivy League.
"We are excited for the challenges of a very competitive non-conference schedule. Each of our opponents present challenges that will help prepare us for CAA play," Stony Brook head women's basketball coach Joy McCorvey said.
Before kicking off the season, the Seawolves will host Queens College for an exhibition on October 30 at Stony Brook Arena. The Seawolves officially tip off the 2025-26 season with a road test at Syracuse on November 4, before returning to Long Island for their home opener against Molloy on November 7. Stony Brook will then face back-to-back road challenges at Rutgers (Nov. 9) and Fordham (Nov. 12) before continuing the road stretch with a matchup at Marist (Nov. 19).
Thanksgiving weekend sees the Seawolves travel south to compete in Georgia State's tournament. Stony Brook will meet the host Panthers on Nov. 24, followed by neutral-site contests against Central Arkansas (Nov. 25) and Samford (Nov. 26).
The Seawolves return home in December for three of their final five non-conference games. NJCU comes to Stony Brook Arena on December 1, followed by a matchup at Harvard on December 5. St. John's (Dec. 10) and Duquesne (Dec. 14) highlight a strong mid-month homestand, before the non-conference slate concludes at home against Georgian Court on December 17.
Conference games will primarily be slated for a Friday/Sunday schedule. Dates and times for the full schedule will be released at a later date.
