Pratt and Shoshkikj Sweep Weekly CAA Awards

RICHMOND, Va. - For the first time in program history, the Seawolves have swept the weekly CAA men's basketball awards as Erik Pratt took home Player of the Week and Andrej Shoshkikj Rookie of the Week following their impressive efforts to lead Stony Brook over Hofstra and Charleston last week.

Pratt had one of the best weeks ever by a Seawolf, leading the team with 57 points (28.5 ppg), 17 assists, 21 field goals (.525 FG%), and 10 free throws, as well as totaling 10 rebounds, five three-pointers, two steals, and two blocks. Against the Pride, he shot .500 from the field with 18 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Then, two days later vs. the Cougars, he turned in one of the greatest performances in program history, setting career-highs with 39 points (seventh all-time), 13 assists (third all-time), and 13 field goals, as well as finishing with a .542 FG%, four three-pointers, nine free throws, and seven rebounds. He now has 18 consecutive games scoring in double figures. 

This is Pratt's second CAA Player of the Week award this season.

As for Shoshkikj, he had his best week yet at the NCAA level by totaling 31 points (15.5 ppg), 10 field goals, six three-pointers, eight assists, nine rebounds. He led the team with 20 points vs. Hofstra after shooting 7-for-12 (.583) from the field, 3-for-6 (.500) from behind the arc, and 3-for-3 (1.000) from the line. Then, he had another double-digit effort with 11 points against Charleston, as well as pulling down five boards and totaling five assists and two blocks. He also maintains his perfect FT% on the season at 24-for-24 after going 5-for-5.

This is Shoshkikj's first weekly CAA honor.
