NEW YORK, N.Y. -
Erik Pratt picked up some more hardware on Tuesday after being named the Division I Men's Player of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association. He is the first Stony Brook men's basketball player to earn this award since
Tyler Stephenson-Moore on December 12, 2023 and the sixth overall.
Also the reigning CAA player of the week, Pratt is coming off an incredible week in which he led the team to victory over Hofstra and Charleston after pacing the Seawolves with 57 points (28.5 ppg), 17 assists, 21 field goals (.525 FG%), and 10 free throws, as well as totaling 10 rebounds, five three-pointers, two steals, and two blocks. After scoring 18 against the Pride, he produced one of the greatest performances in Stony Brook history against the Cougars, posting a 39-point, 13-assist double-double (both career highs). He also ended the night with a .542 FG%, four three-pointers, nine free throws, and seven rebounds. Pratt now has 18 consecutive games scoring in double figures as well.
