RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook women's soccer student-athlete
Emily Lemke was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week following a two-goal performance in a road win at Harvard. The honor represents the first of Lemke's Stony Brook career and the Seawolves' first of the season.
Lemke registered a brace in Stony Brook's 2-1 victory on the road at Harvard last week. The sophomore midfielder opened the scoring by firing away from the penalty stripe after being taken down in the box in the 17th minute. Just over four minutes later, the German product struck again with an acrobatic finish in mid-air to provide all the scoring Stony Brook needed in a win over the Crimson. Lemke leads the CAA through the first two weeks of action with eight points and four goals.
The Seawolves return to action on Thursday, August 27 at FDU. The match is slated for a 6 pm start from Teaneck, New Jersey.
