The University of New Hampshire slipped past the Stony Brook University women's soccer team, 1-0, in rainy conditions this afternoon at LaValle Stadium. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 7-5-2 (2-2-2 America East), while the Seawolves drop to 3-11-1 (0-5 America East).

The two teams each had three shots in the first stanza as the constant driving range played a major role in the action.

The Wildcats peppered the Seawolf defense with 10 shots in the second half, as late in the half, Stony Brook pushed their players forward looking to net a goal late in the game.

Senior goalkeeper Cindy Bennett grabbed six saves on the match and stepped up in key instances, saving several one-on-one opportunities by UNH.
