Stony Brook, N.Y. - Jon Pasieka became the fifth Stony Brook baseball player to sign a professional contract as the former catcher inked a deal with the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association. As a senior, Paskieka batted .321 with 27 RBI and a team-best 15 doubles en route to earning all-America East honors. Pasieka joins Nick Abel, Tom Pennino, Matt Restivo and Kris Bakey as members of the 2006 baseball team to sign pro deals.
