Stony Brook, N.Y. - Freshman Mark Secko (Shoreham, N.Y.) was named the men's soccer America East Rookie of the Week the league office announced on Monday. It marks the first time Secko has won the award this season.

The midfielder had a goal and an assist as the Seawolves posted two victories last week. He scored his first collegiate goal in the 4-1 victory over Marist on Tuesday and then recorded an assist on the game-winning goal in Stony Brook's 2-1 win over William & Mary on Saturday.

Stony Brook travels to Maryland to face the #18 Terrapins on Tuesday evening. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
