Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore infielder Chad Marshall (Paris, Ontario) was named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Monday after being selected to the America East All-Tournament team at last week's 2009 America East tournament.

Marshall hit a team-high .500 in the tournament, including three doubles. A Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2008, he went 4-for-6 with an RBI and three runs scored in the Seawolves game against Vermont on Friday.

An All-America East second team selection for the second straight season, Marshall finished the season 10th in the America East in batting average (.354). He also led the America East with 40 hits during conference play.
