Junior midfielder Dominique Adamo (Ramsey, N.J.), of the women's soccer team, was named Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Monday after sparking the Seawolves to victories over Vermont and UMBC last week.
Adamo tallied a goal and an assist in Stony Brook's 3-0 win over UVM on Thursday and then tallied her team-best fourth goal of the season in the 2-0 victory over UMBC on Sunday. Adamo has started all 14 games and leads the team with 11 points (four goals, three assists).
Currently in second place in the America East, the Seawolves are 4-1-1 in their past six games. SBU returns to action on Thursday, traveling to take on New Hampshire. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
