Stony Brook University women's soccer team had four student-athletes named to America East all-conference teams, announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Junior midfielder Dominique Adamo (Ramsey, N.J.) earned a spot on the first team while junior defender Alexis Lindo (York, Pa.) was named to the second team. In addition, freshman goalkeeper Chelsea Morales (Temecula, Calif.) was selected to the All-Rookie team and senior Debbie Aller (Stony Brook, N.Y.) was named to the All-Academic team.
Adamo leads the team in goals (six), assists (five) and points (17), with the points mark ranking third in the America East. She saved her best for conference play, tallying four goals and three assists over Stony Brook's final five games.
Lindo has started all 17 games in the SBU backfield and ranks second on the team with 1535 minutes played. Morales had a terrific first season for the Seawolves, starting every game in net while posting three shutouts. She has allowed one goal or fewer in four of her last five games.
The anchor of the Stony Brook defense, Aller has started all 17 games and scored her second career goal against Siena. It is the second straight season that she has earned a spot on the All-Academic team. An Anthropology and Environmental studies major, Aller has a 3.58 GPA.
Stony Brook went 4-1 in its final five games to clinch the No. 2 seed in this week's six-team America East tournament. The Seawolves will host the winner of Thursday's America East quarterfinal game between No. 3 Hartford and No. 6 Maine in the semifinal round on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Tickets for Sunday's game are $8 for ages 15 & up and $5 for those 14 & Under. Tickets are $2 for students at an America East Institution with a valid America East institutional ID. Stony Brook students will be granted free admission with a Stony Brook ID courtesy of the Stony Brook athletic department.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday at 11 a.m. and can be ordered on-line at www.goseawolves.org or by phone at 631-632-WOLF. Fans cannot buy tickets on-line or by phone on Sunday but can purchase tickets at the LaValle Stadium ticket booth beginning at 1 p.m.
