Women's soccer welcomes New Hampshire on Family Day

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's soccer team will look to even its America East record on Sunday against New Hampshire at LaValle Stadium at 2 p.m.

The Seawolves (3-9-1, 1-2-1 AE) had their two-game unbeaten streak snapped last Sunday in a 3-0 loss at Hartford. Caitlin Alves scored two goals and set up another as the Hawks remained unbeaten (11-0-2) on the season.

New Hampshire enters Sunday with the same record as Stony Brook at 3-9-1. The Wildcats also lost a 3-0 decision to Hartford, in addition to a 5-3 win over Albany and a 1-0 loss to Boston University to open conference play. Meghan Ledwith leads the team with eight points on three goals and two assists.

New Hampshire owns an 8-3-3 all-time edge in the series history, including a 2-1 victory in Durham, N.H. last season. Stony Brook last defeated New Hampshire in 2009.

Prior to the match, Stony Brook will honor the families of its players for their support of the program. The team invites family members to attend a special Family Day celebtration in the Stony Brook Arena immediately following the game.
