REGISTER: GIRLS SOCCER CLINIC | PROSPECT CLINIC
Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook women's soccer will host a pair of upcoming clinics prior to scheduled matches against UMBC on Sept. 29 and Boston University on Oct. 13. The first will be a girls soccer clinic for U9-U13 players, while the second will be a prospect camp for high school girls.
The girls soccer clinic on Sept. 29 will be directed by the Stony Brook women's soccer coaching staff- head coach Sue Ryan, associate head coach Steve Welham and assistant coach Eric Teepe, as well as Stony Brook women's soccer players. The camp is open to U9-U13 girls looking to improve their overall soccer skills. The clinic, which will be held at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook University, will precede the Seawolves' match against UMBC at 7 p.m. and all participants are encouraged to stay for the game.
The prospect clinic, scheduled for Oct. 13 is for high school girls (ages 14-18) who want to maximize their potential on the pitch. The clinic will be directed by Ryan, Welham and Teepe and will include individual and group training, professional coaching, single and multi-player drills, goalkeeper exercises and a game discussion following the Seawolves' match against Boston University, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. that night. Participants are encouraged to stay for the match and cheer on the Seawolves.
