Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's soccer team will look for its second victory of the season on Sunday when it welcomes Sacred Heart to LaValle Stadium at 2 p.m.

The Seawolves (1-2-0) dropped a hard-fought decision to Rhode Island last time out, falling 1-0 on a goal by Samantha Leyh in the 68th minute. Sophomore Chelsea Morales (Temecula, Calif.) made nine saves in net for the Seawolves.

Sacred Heart enters the match with a 1-1-0 record after defeating Maine in dramatic fashion on Friday night. The Pioneers erased 2-1 and 3-2 deficits to overcome the Black Bears courtesy of an Amanda Stiles game-winner in the 87th minute. Sacred Heart opened its season with a 3-2 overtime loss against another America East foe, Albany.

In four previous meetings between Stony Brook and Sacred Heart, the Seawolves hold a 2-1-1 advantage. The teams met last season in a wild 2-2 draw in Fairfield, Conn. Stony Brook fell behind 2-0, before Sa'sha Kershaw (Baltimore, Md.) and Dominique Adamo (Ramsey, N.J.) scored second-half goals to tie the game.
