Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women’s soccer team (5-7-3, 2-2-1 AE) hosts its annual Pink Game on Sunday, Oct. 18, vs. UMass Lowell at 4 p.m. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a pink bracelet to help the Seawolves spread breast cancer awareness.

Katelyn Viera is the team leader in goals (7) assists (3) and points (17), while Shannon Groffie has contributed four goals. Doherty Dominates
Junior Emily Doherty (Oceanside, N.Y.) racked up a career-high 17 saves in Stony Brook’s 1-1 tie at Binghamton on Thursday night, the most by a Stony Brook goalkeeper in the last 17 years. Doherty vaulted into second place in the conference in saves per game (5.17) and save pct. (.849 %).

Redshirt junior Raven Edwards (West Orange, N.J.) is the America East Player of the Week after scoring game-winning goals in both Stony Brook victories last week. She has seven goals in her last seven matches, scoring twice against New Hampshire in Stony Brook’s 3-2 win. Her hot play has carried over into this week as she netted the lone Stony Brook goal in its 1-1 tie at Binghamton. She has eight goals in her last eight games.
Home Sweet Home
The Seawolves are unbeaten in their last seven home games, going 5-0-2 and outscoring their opponents 14-6. Over the last four seasons, they have recorded a record of 23-6-6 at LaValle Stadium, and are 9-4-1 in home conference matches during that span.
