They are searching for their first goal since the four-goal outburst in the opener. Emma Anderson led the way with a goal and an assist. The Lions went 7-8-1 in 2015. Anderson led the team in scoring with seven goals and two assists.

The Huskies are ranked no. 17 in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll after a 5-1 start to the season. UConn's defense has proven difficult to penetrate with three clean sheets and a goal against average of .67. Leading the attack is third team All-American and reigning America Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year Stephanie Ribiero. She entered the year with 16 goals and 15 assists and has added four goals and two assists through the first six contests. Equally as dangerous is MAC Herman Trophy candidate Rachel Hill. She was a first team All-American and the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2015 and is fourth among all active career players with 48 goals, including three this season.

Sophomore Julie Johnstonbaugh (Neshanic Station, N.J.) has been a spark plug for the Stony Brook attack. The forward registered a career-high three points in Stony Brook's 2-0 win at Fairfield, using her speed to round the goalkeeper for the opening goal, then setting up a goal by senior Raven Edwards (West Orange, N.J.) with a pinpoint diagonal ball. She leads the team with six shots on goal.
