STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Stony Brook women's soccer team will play its first home games of the season this week, after spending the first three weeks of the year on the road. Stony Brook will look to turn things around after stumbling at St. John's on Sunday night. The Seawolves will play on the new turf in LaValle Stadium for the first time Thursday night as they host NJIT, before Wagner comes to town on Sunday. Tickets for both games are available

SEAWOLVES NOTES
- Sophomore
Sofia Manner (Helsinki, Finland) and freshman
Mari Brenden (Oslo, Norway) earned America East weekly honors the second week of the season, after helping lift the Seawolves past Seton Hall. Manner was named Defensive Player of the Week after notching her first shutout of the year, while Brenden garnered Rookie of the Week honors for scoring the game-winner against the Pirates.
- The Seawolves started the season with six-straight road games, facing six teams from three different high-major conferences: Pac-12 (Oregon, Oregon State), ACC (No. 20 Notre Dame, Boston College) and BIG EAST (Seton Hall, St. John's).

Sofia Manner set a new career high with 12 save at Oregon State. She matched her previous best with nine stops in the first half. This was the first time she has reached double figures int he category.
- The Seawolves earned made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013 last year, after winning the America East Championship.
- Stony Brook was selected to finish second in the America East this season, behind New Hampshire.
- Stony Brook returns 13 letterwinners from the championship squad, including eight starters.
- The team has also welcomed eight newcomers for the 2018 season. Six freshmen have joined the squad, as well as UMBC transfer

Scouting NJIT
- The Highlanders enter the week at 4-1-1 on the year, riding a four-game winning streak. They most recently topped America East member UMass Lowell, 1-0, before downing Rider on the road, 2-0 on Sunday.
- NJIT is out-scoring its opponent 8-2 on the year.
- Fiona Wright leads the team with three goals so far this season.
- Amelia Sapirman has played every minute in goal for the Highlanders, allowing just two goals and boasting a .913 save percentage.
Scouting Wagner
- Wagner currently sits at 1-4-0 this season and will not play a midweek game before taking on the Seawolves Sunday.
- The Seahawks are coming off of a 2-0 loss to Iona on Sunday, after picking up their lone win of the year, a 1-0 victory at Rhode Island.
- Three players lead the Wagner offense with one goal on the year, while two more add assists.
- Katie Viscardi has not missed a minute in goal this season, notching a 1.76 GAA and .692 save percentage.
